ABOUT
We human beings are benefitted by time, space, and support. A chance to stop the doing, interrupt the next thing on the check list, and settle into stillness. It may seem hard to do so, and we can learn ways to support ourselves to incrementally let go, soften, and enjoy the peace of being. If you are stressed, overworked, exhausted, join us!
This three-week series will include gentle stretches, breath work, an extended and guided yoga nidra, and a period of reflection and sharing by choice. It is a chance for you and your nervous system to unwind.
Also known as yogic sleep, or non-sleep deep rest (NSDR), yoga nidra is a form of practice where you lie down, prepare the body to receive stillness, and allow yourself to be led into a state of relaxation. You don’t need to do anything in particular.
Through the practices of breath awareness, body scanning, and visualization, the practice gently shifts you into a liminal space between waking and sleeping – a state of parasympathetic rest – where healing and rejuvenation are supported to take place.
No experience is needed. You are welcome to join from your bed or any other comfortable surface where you ideally will not be disturbed.
