You may know, it can be a challenge to talk the body out of its experience. The body has emergent sensations: sometimes pleasant, sometimes unpleasant, sometimes under the radar. It is where hurt is stored and where healing happens.
Sometimes it isn’t about figuring things out.
It is about being with, being seen, and feeling what is ready to be felt.
Afterall, changing the body alters the self.
As a somatic therapist, I collaborate with people to cultivate presence, resilience, and flow by resolving trauma and connecting with the wisdom of their bodies, dreams, and creative expression.
Based in Burlington, Vermont, I offer 1-1 virtual sessions and in-person groupwork in:
I am a somatic therapist and educator, trained through Tamalpa Institute and Somatic Experiencing®. I am also a dream worker, yoga teacher, and community/clinical herbalist. I use an array of healing modalities, primarily Somatic Experiencing, dreamwork, and the expressive arts to help people resolve stress and trauma and its’ physical, behavioral, and emotional manifestations.
My passion is to support people to cultivate a life of authenticity – embracing depth, spaciousness, nuance, resilience, and relatedness.
I offer spaces where other ways of knowing and being are welcomed, celebrated, and worthwhile. I provide education that supports people to feel competent in understanding their nervous system and the impact of this system on their everyday lives.
My approach acknowledges that individuals are part and parcel of multiple larger systems; it is process-oriented and body-based. I am committed to change that creates environments of safety and liberation for all beings.
Thanks to my teachers (my body being one of the greatest there is), I bring a toolbox of experience and training in nervous system physiology and education, the creative arts process and praxis, yoga, breathwork, and herbalism.
It would be my honor to work with you.
